Tommy Esguerra gives his father a second chance
Tommy Esguerra is the newest Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) ‘737’ housemate introduced on the reality television show. He is a 21 year old Filipino-American model. Tommy Esguerra was born and raised in California. He was dubbed as the “pretty Boy” ng Las Pinas but he called himself as the ‘black sheep’ of his family. He ran away once because of a misunderstanding with his mother and discordant relationship with his estranged dad. And so he came in the Philippines to look for his fortune to prove his family he could stand alone and he will gain his dreams and aspirations with his own effort.
In an interview in Tonight with Boy Abunda (TWBA), Filipino late night entertainment talk show program shown on ABS CBN network hosted by Boy Abunda himself which began airing sometime September 28, 2015, Tommy Esguerra’s sincerity when he talks was noticeable. His expressive eyes couldn’t tell a lie. Boy Abunda who is Eugenio Romerica Abunda Jr. in real life is a publicist, talent manager, celebrity endorser and of course he hosted TWBA, an English and Filipino talk show, infotainment and criticism. Boy Abunda was dubbed as ‘The King of Talk’ in local business and has won PMPC Star Awards for TV Best Public Affairs Program Host.
This video clip of Boy Abunda’s interview with Tommy Esguerra was quite entertaining and edifying. Boy Abunda in the video told Tommy that he wanted to know him more and understand him better because of the issues he heard about Tommy. Boy Abunda knew beforehand that they were left by his father so he asked Tommy if he is resented of the event. Tommy said, at first he was but because of his stay inside the house of KUYA he learned to accept things better. He was reminded that no matter what, his father will remain his father! It is a fact which no one could change! While inside the house Tommy told Boy Abunda that he and his father were talking already by a phone call. He had contacted his family and had told them that he forgave! Tommy also added, ‘it was a nice feeling telling them how I am now, what I am doing and what is going on with me. We are okay although there’s a lot of thing to work on, to catch up. Boy Abunda commented, ‘it was truly a great feeling pag wala kang kinakarga.’ Then of course Tommy will ask ‘kinakarga is what?’ Boy explained it further afterwards. In the end Tommy Esguerra admits his shortcomings and considered himself as the black sheep of the family when in my opinion he’s not! The fact that he accepts whatever mistakes he commits and do something to correct it proved that he is a good person! Tommy is a strong yet humble man because he could easily face difficulties in life and be better in spite of the bitterness life has caused him.
